Trial Edit Terms & Agreement
1. Purpose of Trial Edit
This trial edit is provided to showcase editing capabilities using client-provided footage. It is intended to demonstrate editing style and technical skills, not to undergo multiple rounds of revisions beyond the agreed scope.
2. Footage Quality & Editing Limitations
- The final quality of the edit is dependent on the footage provided by the client. Editing does not improve low-resolution, poorly lit, or low-quality footage.
- If professional-quality results are expected, professional-quality footage must be provided.
3. Payment Terms & Deposit
- A non-refundable deposit is required before the trial edit begins. This covers the time spent on initial work and client communication.
- The remaining balance is due upon delivery of the first edit, regardless of pending revision requests.
- Non-payment of the balance will result in the withholding of the final video and termination of any further work.
4. Revision Policy
- One round of minor revisions is included (e.g., small text adjustments, timing tweaks).
- Major reworks, such as changes to the edit style, structure, or additional elements beyond the original agreement, will incur extra costs.
- Clients must submit revision requests within 5 business days of receiving the first edit.
- Failure to provide feedback within this timeframe will result in the project being considered complete, and the client will receive only the first draft as-is, with no additional tweaks.
- Any revisions requested after the deadline will require an additional fee or a new agreement.
5. Scope & Direction
- Clients must provide clear expectations upfront before the trial edit begins.
- If the project scope changes significantly, a new agreement and additional charges may apply.
- Requests for a completely different editing approach than initially discussed will not be covered under the trial edit.
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Deposits are non-refundable as they compensate for time and effort already invested.
- No refunds will be provided for dissatisfaction with the style of the edit if it aligns with the original request.
7. Agreement & Acknowledgment
By proceeding with the trial edit, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms.
